COVID 19- How Medical Solution is keeping you safe
If you’re in Melbourne, you will be back in lockdown again with only four reasons to leave your home.
At Medical Solution, we continue to source reliable supply chains of all of the products that will keep people safe whether they are working remotely, in a shared space or going to the shops for Medical supplies and groceries.
We are continuing to seek out Australian made, or Australian supported products so that you can feel secure with the products you are using to keep you and the people you care for safe.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has asked Melburnians to wear masks in public when they can’t social distance, in a major shift in health policy in the state and across Australia. Until now, experts had recommended wearing a face mask only if you were sick, and to protect others. This is a slightly different stance on the original information given to the public and so is something we need to take on if we’re to flatten the curve by reducing infections.
It’s recommended fabric face masks should be worn in closed, overcrowded spaces to protect others.
SHOULD YOU WEAR ONE WHEN SHOPPING?
Yes, shopping for essentials is one of the reasons Victorians in lockdown are allowed to leave their home. Wearing a mask while shopping, if you can’t distance yourself, is key advice under the new recommendation
WHERE ELSE SHOULD YOU WEAR A MASK?
Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said “public transport, taxis, Ubers, shopping for food and goods, and visiting your GP, were “really important times to wear a mask”.
WHY HAS ADVICE ON WEARING MASKS CHANGED?
Before the most recent studies, advice around the effectiveness of face masks in reducing transmission had been contradictory and lacking in evidence.
SHOULD I STILL WEAR A FACE MASK IF I’M SEEING SOMEONE I KNOW?
Yes, coronavirus is incredibly infectious. It is recommended you were a mask even if you’re familiar with these people you are seeing.
CAN I REMOVE MY MASK TO SPEAK TO PEOPLE?
No, you should keep your mask on and maintain a 1.5m distance.
Disposable Face masks are available in packs of 50 for you to use when you cannot social distance. These are disposable but can be worn a couple of times if you are wearing them for short periods of time, remove them safely (without touching the 3ply fabric) and store it in a clipseal bag.
It is important to sanitise before putting on and after removing your face mask.
